The company says its new digital practice will help clients deliver lasting commercial results by ensuring people and technology work in sync.
Culture and leaderships are viewed as two essential ingredients for successful digital transformation projects, and Gartner predicts CIOs will soon be as responsible for culture change as chief HR officers.
The new practice will be led by Gerd Schenkel who has joined Partners in Performance to lead the expansion into digital and build the firm’s presence in the space.
Schenkel was the founder of UBank, NAB’s digital bank, and a former Executive Director of Telstra Digital. More recently he was the CEO of payment company Tyro and currently serves as chairman of Credit Clear, a digital billing and payments provider.
Commenting on the appointment Schenkel said, “We’ve observed many traditional attempts at digital transformation fail for a variety of reasons, so we are here to close a gap in the market.
“It has been disappointing to see many organisations being seduced into deploying canned technology as a core part of their digital agendas, overlooking the critical need to design new business models and processes around humans and their needs.
