Partners in Performance ranked among Australia's most innovative companies for their ambitious Energy Transition Roadmap

Blog

SYDNEY, 17 OCTOBER: Global management consultancy, Partners in Performance, has been ranked among Australia’s foremost industry leaders in the annual AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies list, a prestigious annual ranking index celebrating Australian businesses challenging the status quo.

The Energy Transition Roadmap, developed by Partners in Performance, which was awarded the ranking was the only innovation of its category designed to assist businesses with achieving sustainability targets. Among the other top ten AFR BOSS award finalists were global giants such as Accenture, Stantec, Deloitte, KPMG, and King & Wood Mallesons.

Skipp Williamson, Founder and Managing Director at Partners in Performance, said: “We are honoured to be recognised among Australia’s most innovative companies for our Energy Transition Roadmap. This achievement is testimony to the collective realisation that industry is already making strides towards a Net-Zero world, but reality is that more needs to be done to achieve meaningful results within the next 10 to 20 years.”

The Energy Transition Roadmap developed by Partners in Performance has helped global businesses mitigate more than 40Mtpa CO2 in the last 18 months. This is roughly equivalent to removing the carbon impact of all the cars on the road in Australia for the same period.

Skipp added: “Climate change and other contributing factors have created an undeniable crisis which holds potential to compromise the future of all species on Earth. Adopting and implementing cleaner, renewable sources of energy is a fundamental business and societal imperative that needs action now.”

Following the Australian government’s announcement of ambitious 2030 emissions reduction targets earlier this year, the Roadmap plays a pivotal role in helping organisations develop and deliver a Net-Zero pathway within even tighter time frames.

“Our ambition with the Energy Transition Roadmap is to be a driving force in accelerating the planet’s transition to cleaner energy, and to debunk misconceptions that decarbonisation is not economically viable. Our Roadmap reduces complexity brought by implementation of rapidly changing emissions targets, providing businesses with a tailored plan that quickly and effectively makes progress towards Net-Zero with tangible economic returns,” offered Skipp.

By establishing a partnership between clients and energy transition consultants, Partners in Performance ensures Energy Transition Roadmap solutions provide outcome-focused value and ongoing transformation in the processes and solutions implemented by each business.

“At Partners in Performance, our goal is to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure they have the required knowledge to continue to deliver, well after our work with them has ended,” added Skipp. “The transformation of organisations, industries and society that will occur over the next 20 years is of a scale we have not previously experienced. The Energy Transition Roadmap is a starting point for organisations to connect the dots between protecting their bottom line and achieving Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reduction targets.

We are proud to bring innovations such as the Energy Transition Roadmap to provide clients with opportunities to thrive, in a way that is both economically and environmentally sustainable. At the end of the day, this is not about creating a theoretical strategy or recommendations, it is about providing businesses with the tools they need to create meaningful change and lasting impact.”
